Our Approach

We believe in bringing people together.  We like to sit down and get to know people and their stories.  We believe that by really taking time to connect, we can learn so much about what people need as well as about what others have to offer.

Our Story

Delta Veterans is a 501(C)3 non-profit that began as an idea Veteran’s Day 2017.  It was an idea to have an event that would highlight programs and resources available to military, veterans, and their families.  The response to that event shined a light on a desperate need in this area; a resource center of sorts that can help bring people together. We host an annual resource fair around Veterans Day, as well as maintain information on our website to help find needed information.

Anthony Corkern

Technical Sergeant in U.S. Air Force Reserves, over 18 years of service, OEF Afghanistan Veteran.  I want to help military, veterans, and their families easily find information on programs and resources available to assist them in their daily lives by providing an online website database. Having these resources in one location makes it easier to find the help you need.

I am a veteran’s wife and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  I own Finding Solace Counseling in West Monroe and have seen, personally and professionally, the need for services to be more readily available in our area.  I am committed to finding ways to get information out to the community and truly create genuine change.  We have to to fight for those who fought for us.

Child of a veteran and a school teacher.  Father was a scientist for the DoD.  I have high appreciation for any that have ever stood a post or been deployed.  These people are owed a debt of gratitude that can never be paid.  I am privileged to be able to help in this small way.
