Returned Donation
Delta Veterans received a check donation of $5,000.00 from a donor wishing to remain anonymous. The check was returned/bounced due to NSF from donor, incurring a $5.00 return item fee on Delta Veterans. It was later discovered that this donor did not have funds to back the donation, and the motive behind doing this remains unclear.
Programs/Services Provided by Delta Veterans
Jay Wilson Memorial Fund
Delta Veterans received a donation to be used to pay for mental health services for Veterans while they wait for the VA to set them up in the VA system. Finding Solace Counseling in West Monroe, LA provides services to any Veteran needing mental health counseling at no charge to the Veteran.

Delta Veterans Expo & Celebration (DVEC)
Annual resource fair for military, veterans, and dependents to attend to meet programs and groups that offer services to help with their daily lives. Silent Auction proceeds went to the West Monroe VFW Hudson-Leehy Post 3993.

Delta Veterans Spring Classic
Second year shotgun shooting fundraising event hosted at Wild Wings Sporting Lodge in Downsville, LA. Proceeds from event went to Team Seth Foundation, a local non-profit that focuses on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Community Event Participated In
Bayou Jeep Junkies Wheelin’ 4 Warriors (July 2022). Annual fundraiser hosted by the local Bayou Jeep Junkies. Off-roading Jeep ride they held at Hot Springs Off Road Park in Arkansas. Delta Veterans was selected as 1 of 2 local area Veteran non-profit organizations to received proceeds from this year’s event.
West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce Member 2 Member Expo (July 2022). Networking event with other members of the WMWO CoC to meet and learn about what they do around the local area. We were able to meet some new resource groups and add their information to our website database.
Louisiana National Guard Office of Family Programs Workshop (August 2022). Annual event hosted by the LANG in Baton Rouge, LA. This event allows groups, programs, resources, etc. from around the state to come set up a table with information on what they do so that members of the LANG can learn what resources and services are available to them. Another great event we were able to participate in and meet more resource groups.
Ouachita 101 (September 2022). Event that highlights businesses, groups, programs, etc. in Ouachita Parish, LA. Public event to meet and learn about what they all do.
Choudrant Fall Festival (October 2022). 2nd Annual event hosted by Watts Fresh Produce in Choudrant, LA. Event that showcases local area vendors and businesses.
Community Connections (October 2022). Annual event hosted by Ascent that gathers local area non-profit organizations together to set up an information booth and to meet with each other, as well as public attendees, to talk about what services they provide.
